Al Hosani confirmed the participation of five Arab countries in the festival’s activities: the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Syrian Arab Republic, and the State of Kuwait. In addition, the festival will host a series of cultural and artistic workshops aimed at professionals — particularly teachers — who are eager to enhance their theatrical skills.
In a statement to Sharjah 24, Al Hosani added that the workshops will include sessions on directing school theatre, using puppetry in school plays, and scenography for school productions.
She also noted that the festival will include the 20th edition of the Sharjah Arab Theatre Forum, held under the theme “Theatre and Life.” The forum will explore new trends and transformations in the relationship between theatre and life, and will examine the role of the art of contrast in strengthening the will to live.
