Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club once again made a strong impression on the national sports stage, with its swimmers earning a series of prestigious wins during the UAE Swimming Cup Series Championship. Held at Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, the event featured tough competition among leading clubs across the country. Al Dhaid’s swimmers secured a total of seven medals — five gold and two bronze — reflecting the club’s rising stature and ongoing progress in both technical skill and competitive performance.

Standout athletes deliver exceptional results

Among the event’s standout performers was Amir Aslan, who won two gold medals and two bronze medals, showcasing his exceptional talent and commanding presence in the water. Seifallah Khaled also delivered a remarkable performance, clinching three gold medals, which underscored the high calibre of training and preparation provided to Al Dhaid’s athletes. These victories speak to the key role played by the club’s coaching and administrative teams in honing talent and preparing swimmers for top-level competition.

A strategic focus on sporting excellence

The achievement is part of Al Dhaid’s broader success across various sports, especially swimming, which has become a flagship element of the club’s strategy to develop future champions. The results also highlight the club’s commitment to nurturing young Emirati talent, providing them with the resources, training, and structure to grow and succeed within a professional and disciplined sporting environment.

School-level victory for Mohammed Shwain

In a separate triumph, Mohammed Shwain delivered an impressive performance at the national school swimming championship, winning three gold medals and three silver medals, in addition to taking home the first-place overall trophy. This achievement reflects the success of a carefully structured training plan, guided by expert coaching and active administrative support, creating an ideal setting for young athletes to flourish.

Leadership commends club’s achievements

Commenting on the club’s success, Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Chairman of Al Dhaid Sports Club, expressed pride in the swimmers’ accomplishments. He emphasised that these results are a testament to the club’s holistic and institutional approach to sports development, and its dedication to fostering athletic talent.

He reaffirmed the club’s ongoing support for its athletes, aligning with the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah to promote excellence and elevate the club’s profile both nationally and locally.

Bin Huwaiden also extended his gratitude to the club’s coaching and administrative teams, praising their hard work and commitment. He urged them to continue their efforts and strive for even more success, as the club looks to build on these achievements and bring further honour to Al Dhaid and Sharjah in future competitions.
