The campaign also includes visits to patients to provide support and increase their positive energy, in keeping with SEWA's commitment to social responsibility. The activities attracted about 300 participants, including hospital visitors, staff, and patients.
Community engagement and support for patients
Rashid Al Marzouqi, SEWA's Director of Corporate Communications, noted that the hospital's awareness programs were well-attended by personnel and visitors, with considerable participation from the hospital administration. Attendees received informative booklets and gifts. In addition, SEWA's awareness campaign mascots, Qattura, Sha'lul, and Kahrub, met with patients and distributed symbolic presents to lift their spirits and engage them in activities.
Collaborative approach to conservation
Saif Al Naqbi, Head of the Education and Awareness Department, explained that SEWA's electricity and water conservation campaign is carried out in collaboration with several government agencies and institutions throughout Sharjah.
The campaign's goal is to increase awareness among all sectors of society — institutions, organisations, and individuals—about the significance of conserving energy and water as necessary components of life, productivity, development, and advancement.
He cited SEWA's major investments in water generation, desalination, transportation, and distribution, as well as power production and delivery. As a result, SEWA continues to implement a comprehensive conservation strategy through various activities aimed at all segments of society.
