Sharjah24: Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department, the Security Media Department, and the Al Hamriyah Comprehensive Police Station, participated in the annual summer campaign launched last Friday by Al Hamriyah Municipality under the slogan "A Safe and Happy Summer." The campaign targets beachgoers and continues until August 23.

Promoting Beach Safety

The "Safe and Happy Summer" campaign seeks to enhance public awareness regarding the significance of adhering to beach signage and safety guidelines concerning safe swimming, drowning hazards, and preventive measures. This initiative plays a vital role in promoting community well-being and ensuring public safety.

Strengthening Community Security

Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department, reaffirmed Sharjah Police's dedication to bolstering community security through sustainable collaborations with various organizations throughout the emirate. He highlighted the significance of promoting safety and security awareness, particularly at recreational areas during the summer season.

Weekly Awareness Programs

He noted that the campaign features a range of awareness and educational programs conducted every Friday. These programs address topics such as drowning prevention and beach safety, along with a series of competitions and educational performances aimed at raising awareness about drowning.
