ٍSharjah24: A delegation from the Sharjah Institute for Heritage's academic administration, led by Dr Khalid Al Shehhi, Director of Academic Department, visited the National Qualifications Centre (NQC) in Abu Dhabi as part of its efforts to improve educational and professional programmes. The visit was intended to deepen collaboration and assess the latest updates on the accreditation of many academic programs.
Dr Mona Belfaqeeh, Director General of the National Qualifications Centre, welcomed the delegation, which also included several specialists with expertise in professional qualification accreditation.
The discussions focused on the accreditation methods for many new programs, including a diploma in business administration for cultural and museum institutions, a diploma in folk culture, and a partial certificate in urban heritage.
Both parties also discussed how to work together to ensure that academic programs fulfil labour market demands while still adhering to national quality standards and accreditation criteria.
Dr Khalid Al Shehhi complimented the National Qualifications Centre's critical role in preparing national talent and reaffirmed the institute's commitment to providing high-quality academic programs that benefit the UAE's culture and heritage sectors.
The tour concluded with a conversation about the importance of increasing communication and cooperation, helping to promote vocational and academic education, and achieving excellence in culture and heritage.
