Sharjah Ruler witnesses Women's Sports & University of Kalba MoU

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Kalba, witnessed, on Thursday, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah Women's Sports and the University of Kalba.
Enhancing communication and cooperation

The MoU aims to enhance communication and cooperation between the two parties, and to exchange expertise and efforts to serve the sports sector and develop women's sports and society.

The MoU was signed at the University of Kalba by Hanan Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Vice President of the SWSF, and Dr. Najwa Mohammed Al Hosani, Director of the University of Kalba.
Part of the eventExchanging visits

According to the MoU, the two parties agreed to exchange visits between the University of Kalba and SWSF facilities, such as the Sharjah Women's Sports Olympic Centre, to review best practices, and to organise meetings with representatives of relevant centres and discuss opportunities for cooperation in using facilities, exchanging expertise, and promoting research.

Professional prospects in women’s sports 

The memorandum stipulates the development of a list of current and future job opportunities in the field of women's sports, with the goal of graduating female students in the specialisations required by the foundation. It also provides training opportunities and contributes to the posting of job vacancies for graduates. It also includes participation in conferences and events related to women's sports medicine and science, the presentation of research, and participation as speakers, subject to conditional regulations and topics of mutual interest.
Sharjah Ruler and members of two partes during the eventUnder the memorandum, the two parties will hold periodic meetings and coordinate joint efforts to study, discuss, and develop the best mechanisms for implementing the memorandum's provisions, to maximise the benefits and impact students.

Realising the MoU outcomes

The memorandum also stipulates the formation of a joint working team, including experts in the fields of education, sports, and administration, to undertake planning, preparation, supervision, and implementation, as well as to evaluate joint programmes and activities to ensure the achievement of the memorandum's objectives.
