The Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) Kalba Branch launched the third edition of the Sanabel Al-Mahaba Festival on Tuesday, which will run for three days.
Al Darmaki said that the festival coincides with the Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness Campaign and aims to support students and those affiliated with this category. The festival welcomes parents, school students, and kindergarten students.
She explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the festival is being held with the participation of several government departments and institutions, private companies, license holders, various projects, and retail outlets.
She noted that the festival's proceeds will be allocated to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder through the purchase of equipment and the allocation of supportive programs and activities.
Al Darmaki added that the festival includes numerous workshops and events that highlight sensory rehabilitation programs for students with autism spectrum disorder, raising public awareness on how to interact with them, improve their skills, and integrate them into society.
