Sharjah24: As part of its fifth training programme, "Global Leadership and Future Skills," the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) organised a visit to the Republic of Singapore for directors of its centers, departments, and branches from April 6 to 10. This visit is part of a leadership programme launched two years ago, aimed at training and preparing the second and third tiers of leadership within the department, under the slogan "Leadership Development and Preparing Future Leaders." The programme is divided among directors and department heads and consists of a series of training and qualification phases lasting until the end of this year.
The visit included several key centers in Singapore, a leader in social, health, and educational fields. The delegation visited the Community Mediation Center at the Singapore Ministry of Law, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy where they met with Professor Francesco Mancini, the school's Deputy Dean, to learn about the social inclusion project. They also visited the Singapore Ministry of Family and Social Development, engaging with officials to benefit from their experience and introduce the department and its services to the community.
Leadership programme
The programme focuses on several key topics, including building leadership personality, strategic thinking, leadership communication and networking, the power of leadership influence, innovative leadership in government work, and global leadership and future skills. It includes individual development sessions aimed at enhancing the services provided by the department to its beneficiaries, ensuring attention to all community members, and providing opportunities and services at the highest standards for all department affiliates. Additionally, it aims to develop effective leadership that will significantly improve job performance and efficiency within the department.
It is worth noting that the programme is conducted in collaboration with a leading company in the field of qualification and development, aiming to achieve professional and effective performance for all employees by implementing programs that enable them to perform their duties with high professionalism and productivity.
