Sharjah 24: Sharjah FC will meet Al Jazira FC, on Wednesday, in the semi-finals of the most expensive cup, the UAE President's Cup, while Al Wasl FC will meet Shabab Al Ahli FC in the same round.

Looking to reach the final

Sharjah FC will play an important match on Wednesday, facing Al Jazira FC in the semi-finals of the President's Cup at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

The team, along with Al Jazira, continued their preparations for the match, aiming to secure a decisive victory and reach the final.

Sharjah is looking to win its eleventh title, while Al Jazira is looking to win its fourth title in the most expensive cup.

Sharjah's Romanian coach, Cosmin, said that the cup matches require a special kind of preparation, and players are aware of the importance of this stage, he added that he is confident in their ability to succeed.

Cosmin explained that the club is playing in a tournament that is dear to players’ hearts, and reaching the final requires high concentration and discipline on the field.

The coach concluded that the club has a difficult match against a strong team like Al Jazira, in the semi-finals of a tournament that is dear to everyone, and they need to focus and work hard.

Second consecutive time?

In the second match, Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahli will face off in a major match at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai. Al Wasl is looking to reach the final for the second consecutive time, having won the title last season at the expense of Al Nasr.

Meanwhile, Shabab Al Ahli, the leaders of ADNOC Pro League, is hoping to compete for a new title that will break their tie with Sharjah, as they are tied for the most number of times crowned with the most prestigious trophy, 10 each.
