Amina Mohammed, who oversees training and events at the Foundation, shared that RUWAD is committed to continuing this annual effort with the help of its members, particularly those in the food industry. She emphasized the importance of contributing to charitable work during Ramadan, reflecting the values of unity, cooperation, and support within the community.
Amina also mentioned that the initiative not only offers meals but also fosters connections among people from various backgrounds during this special time. The Foundation makes sure that everything they do is in line with local laws and regulations.
In recognition of the participants, Amina expressed gratitude to the projects involved. The "Luxury Lounge" project led the way by providing 1,500 meals, followed by the "Tanour Mahra Popular Restaurant" with 900 meals, "Atyab Samosa" with 450 meals, "Ibriq Al-Shai Cafeteria" with 150 meals, and "Aqlat Bahraini Kitchen" with 90 meals. Additionally, the "Alserkal Law Firm" contributed 333 meals, and several generous individuals donated 651 meals as well.
Along with the projects and donors, employees from both RUWAD and the Sharjah Economic Development Department helped in distributing the iftar meals.
After this year’s event, a total of 39 projects have participated since the initiative began in 2018, and the total number of meals provided over the years has reached an impressive 53,310.,310.
