This comes in celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and Emirati Children’s Day.
This visit reflects Sharjah Children's commitment to instilling humanitarian values in young minds while fostering intergenerational connections. By engaging with senior citizens, children gained insight into the customs, traditions, and cultural heritage of their society. This experience strengthens their national identity and cultivates a sense of solidarity, compassion, and responsibility toward the elderly. Additionally, it encourages them to actively participate in volunteer and community service initiatives.
During the visit, children engaged seniors in a variety of interactive games and workshops. One of the activities was a memory-stimulating game featuring traditional proverbs and folklore, designed to foster engagement and connection. Additionally, they participated in a storytelling workshop titled "Generational Tales," where elderly residents shared their life experiences and stories from the past, offering children valuable lessons in resilience and wisdom.
Sharjah Children remains dedicated to instilling a strong sense of national identity and cultural heritage among its members. Through various programmes and initiatives, the organisation aims to nurture respect for the elderly, reinforce family values, and promote kindness and gratitude. By embedding these principles, Sharjah Children contributes to shaping a socially responsible generation that is deeply connected to its authentic traditions and values.
