SPGC is set to complete the 32nd Ramadan Championship

Sharjah24: Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) completes the second week of its 32nd annual Ramadan Sports Championship, which is organised, until the 19th of the holy month of Ramadan, in cooperation with the General Command of the Amiri Guard on the Police Club grounds and the Amiri Guard Sports Hall, with strong competitions between the participating teams from various government agencies in the emirate.

The first week of the championship resulted in a distinguished performance that reflected a high level of physical fitness of the participants in exciting confrontations that brought together the teams in competitions that varied between football, volleyball, tug of war, padel tennis and table tennis, which took place in an atmosphere that combined the spirit of sportsmanship and fraternal competition between the players who aspire to achieve the first places.

Building communication bridges among participants

Lieutenant Colonel Matar Al Rashidi, Head of the Sports Activities Department at SPGC said that the championship is an extension of the successes achieved in the past years, as it receives attention from the General Command for its important role in building bridges of communication and developing the spirit of competition among the participants. He added that this year’s edition is attended by members of the General Command of the Amiri Guard, Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, employees of Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), and Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah.

Strong competitive atmosphere

Lieutenant Colonel Al Rashidi added that the competitions will continue over the next two weeks amidst a strong competitive atmosphere among the players, which contributes to raising physical fitness and readiness, supporting the spirit of brotherhood, and enhancing the quality of sports life.
