Sharjah 24: The Department of Islamic Affairs (DIA) in Sharjah has recently opened two mosques to enhance the religious infrastructure of the emirate. These new additions aim to meet the growing needs of the community and are part of the department’s Ramadan plan. The two mosques, located in Kalba City and Al Madam area, can accommodate more than 600 male and female worshipers

The second mosque, "Sahabi Ja'il bin Saraqa Al Damri," is situated in the Al Faw Agricultural Area in Al Madam. This mosque combines Islamic architectural styles with modern elements. It covers 4181 square metres, with a prayer hall and service facilities, and can accommodate 250 male worshipers.

Enhancing religious infrastructure across Sharjah

The opening of these two mosques is part of a broader initiative by the Department of Islamic Affairs to strengthen Sharjah's religious infrastructure. These projects ensure that members of the community across various suburbs and regions can perform their rituals and worship in comfort and peace.
