The festival aimed to instill a sporting culture among children, teaching them the fundamental skills and rules of football, while also discovering and nurturing athletic talents. It focused on maximising their potential and providing a platform for growth.
The festival was marked by enthusiasm, competitiveness, and fair play. The qualifying teams battled it out in the final round, using a round-robin format within two groups. The first group consisted of teams from the Khorfakkan, Al Dhaid, and Al Qarayen centres, while the second group featured teams from Al Hira, Al Thumayd, and Wadi Al Helo centres. The winners of each group, Al Thumayd and Khorfakkan teams, advanced to the final, while the second-place teams, Al Qarayen and Wadi Al Helo, faced off for third place.
In the final match, Al Thumayd team emerged victorious, defeating Khorfakkan 2-1 to take first place. Al Qarayen team claimed third place after a 3-0 win over Wadi Al Helo. At the closing ceremony, the winning teams and those who reached the final were awarded medals in the presence of officials and the children’s parents.
It is worth noting that the festival, which began in February 2025, was aimed at all centres in Sharjah city and the central and eastern regions for the 9-12 age group. The teams participated in preliminary qualifying rounds, which were divided into three regional groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the final stage of the festival.
