The municipality aims to ensure food safety and suitability for consumption and to enhance consumer confidence in food traded in the city.
The Public Health Department in the Municipality of Dibba Al Hisn explained that control includes all goods that enter consumers from areas outside the city of Dibba Al Hisn, as the department monitors the process through the permits issued by the municipality to bring goods into the city.
In this context, the Public Health Department in the municipality called on all suppliers to obtain the necessary permits and adhere to them to avoid any violations.
Ayman Fadel, in charge of the Public Health Department at the municipality, said that the department has developed strategic plans to monitor food establishments in Sharjah, which includes implementing specialised campaigns to ensure and verify the safety of food traded in all food establishments.
Fadel pointed out that "the Public Health Department at the municipality monitors and issues fines to all those who practice the activity without obtaining the necessary permits, in order to ensure the best procedure and implementation of the relevant regulations and laws."
Fadel stressed that "the municipality is always keen to ensure food safety and provide a safe environment for consumers, citizens, residents and visitors. He called on all consumers to ensure that they purchase all goods from sales outlets authorised by the Municipality of Dibba Al Hisn City."
Talib Abdullah Al Yahyaei, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said, that the municipality is implementing an integrated food safety system that is in line with the directives of the Sharjah government to take into account the best international standards, specifications and practices, especially in the field of food safety, as one of the basic priorities of the smiling Emirate, which spares no effort in providing all measures that guarantee the safety and happiness of all members of the Emirate, citizens, residents and visitors.
Al Yahyaei pointed out that the municipality is continuing its efforts in the field of monitoring food safety and the availability of goods according to conditions that ensure food safety, through the Public Health Department teams that supervise the markets through permanent field visits that include all food outlets in the city.
Al Yahyaei stressed the need for all establishments operating in the city to adhere to the health, commercial and industrial instructions and requirements in force in the municipality, pointing to the continuation of routine and surprise inspection campaigns to monitor any illegal violations, calling on residents to cooperate with the competent authorities in the municipality and quickly report any violations they observe.
