A remarkable development in the competition level
The celebration comes after the Eastern Region Holy Quran Award saw a remarkable development in the level of competition, as the number of winners increased from 136 winners in 2024 to 153 winners in 2025, reflecting a growth of 12.5%. The increase confirms the improvement in participants’ performance and their increased interest in memorising and reciting the Holy Quran, in addition to the efforts made by Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Est. to support and encourage students, and to enhance a competitive environment that stimulates mastery and excellence in reciting and memorising the Book of Allah.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Establishment; His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Member of the Board of Directors; and His Excellency Omar Ali Al Shamsi, Director of the Establishment.
The ceremony was also attended by a number of officials, parents, and a large gathering of participants and honourees.
A growing interest in memorisation circles
The ceremony began with the national anthem of the UAE, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Est. Office in the Eastern Region, then delivered a speech in which he reviewed the achievements of the award and the growing interest in memorisation circles, noting that the award has seen significant development in recent years, reflecting the growing interest of society in memorising and reciting the Holy Quran.
Al Hosani pointed out that the number of Quranic circles in the Eastern Region saw an increase from 185 circles in 2024 to 219 circles in 2025, an increase of 18.4%, which confirms the increasing interest of students. Al Hosani noted the increase in the number of participants in the award from 336 participants in 2024 to 439 participants in 2025, a growth rate of 30.7%, reflecting the success of promotional programmes and increased awareness of the importance of the competition.
Instilling Islamic values
Al Hosani stressed the effective role played by Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Est. in instilling Islamic values and promoting the culture of the Holy Quran in society, noting that the Establishment continues its commitment to continue developing its programmes and motivating more students to join memorisation circles, as this has a significant impact in raising a generation armed with knowledge and noble values.

An aware generation that adheres to values
Al Hosani explained that the efforts of Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Est. were not limited to that, but rather launched ten initiatives that complement its efforts and serve all age groups of both genders for all categories and raise the level of memorisation in the Emirate of Sharjah, and provide educational programmes that contribute to building an aware generation that adheres to its values.
Al Hosani stressed the Establishment’s continued support for Quranic programmes and encouraging the memorisation of the Book of Allah.
The ceremony presented a video that shed light on the award's journey and its most prominent milestones, in addition to highlighting the success stories and excellence seen in previous editions, which had a significant impact in encouraging students to join the memorisation circles.
