Haitham bin Saqr inaugurates Sharjah Heritage Days in Kalba

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chairman of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, inaugurated the 22nd Sharjah Heritage Days on Saturday, in the Al Hosn Heritage District in Kalba City.

Diverse programme and participation

The event, organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, features a comprehensive and diverse programme, with significant participation from various government and private institutions. Dr Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, highlighted the large involvement of both sectors in this year’s activities.

Expanding to other areas

Under the theme "Roots," the events are taking place in Kalba and will soon spread to other locations, including Mleiha, Al Hamriyah, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, and will conclude in Al Dhaid.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Dr Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Dr Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Kalba Municipal Council, and Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, alongside a crowd of officials and representatives from various departments.
