RAK Ruler, Michigan Governor sign MoU to boost innovation, growth

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of the US State of Michigan, in Ras Al Khaimah on Friday, along with her accompanying delegation.

Strengthening economic cooperation

Sheikh Saud and Governor Whitmer discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation, exchanging views on various economic and commercial topics of mutual interest.

Signing of MoU to drive innovation and growth

Following their meeting, the Ras Al Khaimah Ruler and Michigan Governor witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ras Al Khaimah Startup and Entrepreneurship Hub, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and the University of Michigan. The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration in key sectors like technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and education.
