Sharjah24: In preparation for the fourth session, the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child has enhanced its readiness to welcome delegations from 15 Arab countries for the first session of the new term in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, scheduled from 15 to 24 February.
This session aligns with the Arab Parliament for Children's commitment to boosting the participation of Arab children in parliamentary activities and developing their skills in dialogue and decision-making, ultimately fostering a generation capable of fulfilling their future roles.

Organisational and logistical preparations
Yesterday, the General Secretariat held a meeting, led by His Excellency Ayman Osman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child. During the meeting, they discussed organisational aspects related to the reception of delegations, distribution of work teams, volunteers, and reviewed the tasks assigned to each team to ensure smooth and effective coordination of the sessions and accompanying events.

The meeting also covered the first session’s agenda, as well as the necessary logistical preparations to provide a comprehensive experience for the participating children. The General Secretariat stressed the importance of coordinating with strategic partners, with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority organising a tourism programme to introduce participants to the emirate’s landmarks and cultural heritage. Additionally, the Al Qimmah Foundation, represented by Sharjah Youth, will offer a programme focusing on leadership skills and teamwork, along with introducing the Parliamentary Diploma in collaboration with the University of Sharjah.

The organising teams are working round the clock to complete the final preparations, including setting up the reception area, ensuring all technical and logistical requirements are met, and arranging educational and recreational activities to complement the sessions, ensuring a unique parliamentary experience for Arab children.

Ayman Osman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, affirmed that the Parliament is dedicated to providing a rich parliamentary experience to Arab children, enhancing their leadership skills, and developing their abilities to engage effectively in social issues. This contributes to preparing them to become future leaders. He added that the fourth session will feature targeted programmes aimed at advancing the children's abilities, empowering them to engage in parliamentary roles and contribute to the development of their countries.
