Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr Abdul Aaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, explained that the 22nd edition of Sharjah Heritage Days celebrates the roots of Emirati heritage through events and activities organised in the Heart of Sharjah area, over 12 days, until February 23.

Event expansion and new features

Dr Al Musallam expressed his happiness at the inauguration of the Sharjah Heritage Days by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He highlighted that this year's edition comes with a new look, featuring an expanded site, improved infrastructure, and a wide range of intensive events, including displays of folk arts and traditional crafts.

Celebrating Emirati heritage through four environments

In statements to "Sharjah 24", Al Musallam encouraged everyone to attend and enjoy the celebration of Emirati heritage. He explained that the event showcases four different environments—Bedouin, coastal, desert, and agricultural—focusing on the customs, traditions, and folk arts specific to each of these environments.
