Sharjah24: As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation in the field of education, the University of Sharjah, represented by its Chancellor, Professor Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, welcomed a delegation from the Department of Suburb Affairs, led by His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department. The delegation also included Dr. Abdullah Suleiman Al Kabouri, Director of the Department, and senior officials.
During the meeting, the two parties held discussions on various aspects of the University’s educational mission, with a particular focus on the pivotal role of parents in supporting students' academic and social lives. Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between educational institutions and community organizations to ensure the academic and personal success of the students. They underscored the critical role of parental engagement in fostering an exceptional learning environment. Expressing their mutual commitment to strengthening future cooperation, both sides affirmed their dedication to advancing education and community development through joint initiatives.
From the University of Sharjah, the meeting was attended by Prof. Yousef Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Prof. Amina Al-Marzouqi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs; Mr. Majid Al-Jarwan, Vice Chancellor for Public Relations; and Mr. Khalid Al-Rabowi, Director of the Public Relations Department. The delegation from the Department of Suburb Affairs included Mr. Maan Al-Darmaki, Director of the Parent Councils Division; Ms. Abeer Falknaz, Head of the Parent Council of Sharjah City; along with officials from the department’s advisory councils’ section.
