Enchanting night reviving the past at Sharjah Nabati Poetry

Sharjah 24: The Palace of Culture in Sharjah recently hosted a vibrant poetry evening as part of the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Festival, celebrating its 19th year. This event brought together a talented group of poets from across the Gulf region and the Arab world. The featured poets included Hamad bin Hashel Al Zaabi from the UAE, Hamoud Khalaf Al Qahtani from Saudi Arabia, Khaled Khaziym from Kuwait, Hudhaifa Al Hadhalin from Palestine, and Nouf Al Mandoos from the UAE, with Shawq Al Dosari as the event's presenter.

The event was attended by prominent figures such as Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, the Chairman of the Department of Culture, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, the Director of Cultural Affairs. Also present were poet Batti Al Mazloum and many other poetry enthusiasts and intellectuals.

 

Throughout the evening, the audience engaged enthusiastically with the poets' performances, which explored themes of longing, love, and admiration. Many of the poems also expressed a deep affection for the city of Sharjah.

 

To conclude the night, Abdullah Al Owais and Mohammed Al Qaseer, along with Al Mazloum, honored the poets by presenting them with certificates of appreciation to recognize their creative contributions.
