Sharjah Tour concludes its 10th edition with record numbers

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Abdul Malik Mohammed Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Sharjah International Cycling Tour, announced the conclusion of the 10th edition of the Tour. The winners were honoured in a ceremony attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

A record-breaking edition

Jani confirmed that the Sharjah International Tour received the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He added that the 10th edition of the Tour broke several records and earned praise from the International Cycling Union for its excellent organisation, route design, and supervision.

Participation, distance, and attractions

This year's event was the largest in terms of participation, with 174 cyclists from 29 teams across 23 countries. The tour covered 526.26 km over five stages, visiting over 230 tourist attractions throughout Sharjah.

The final stage: "Past and Future"

The fifth and final stage of the Sharjah Tour, titled “Past and Future,” began at the Heritage Village in Al Hamriyah and concluded at the Aljada area in Sharjah, covering 121.87 km.
