Rashid Al Kous: 40 publishing houses, 20 cultural prgms at SLF

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, announced the launch of the first edition of the Sharjah Literature Festival (SLF) under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

This came in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority and Honorary President of the Emirates Publishers Association.

Emirati Tales Inspire the Future

His Excellency pointed out that the festival is held under the slogan "Emirati Tales Inspire the Future" and includes more than 40 publishing houses in the UAE, more than 20 cultural seminars, poetry and music evenings, in addition to many diverse programmes, activities and events that await visitors to this festival, which continues until January 21 in the open area opposite the University City Hall in Sharjah.
