The seminar was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Nasser Al Hatlan Al Qahtani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, General Director, Arab Organisation for Administrative Development (ARADO); Sheikh Rashid Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Finance Department and Secretary-General of the Sharjah Award for Public Finance; H.E. Dr. Azzam Ermilie, Advisor to ARADO and Member of the Award’s Board of Trustees; Mr. Hassan Basha, Advisor to the Award; and Nasser Kashwani, Head of the Award’s Logistics Support Team. Representatives from public finance management, quality management, and excellence, along with a number of experts in public finance, were also in attendance.
During his address, His Excellency Dr. Essam Saad Al Rubaiaan emphasised the importance of the Award in promoting financial and administrative excellence throughout the Arab region. Sheikh Rashid Al Qasimi emphasised the critical role of financial management in driving sustainable development. He highlighted that the Sharjah Award in Public Finance serves as a key platform to celebrate financial innovation and promote excellence among institutions and individuals both locally and regionally.
He remarked, "The Sharjah Award in Public Finance reflects the emirate's commitment to fostering institutional excellence and adopting best practices in financial and administrative management. It establishes global benchmarks for enhancing financial performance efficiency and encouraging innovation, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth in the Arab world."
He added, "At the Sharjah Finance Department, we believe that investing in institutional talent and capabilities is fundamental to achieving strategic objectives. This award aims to foster meaningful partnerships and create knowledge-sharing platforms that showcase successful models, inspiring institutions to enhance their performance and strive for excellence."

The second session, delivered by Mr. Nasser Kashwani, detailed the registration process and participation requirements through the award's electronic system.

The event featured a workshop conducted by Mr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al Omran, which centred on optimal financial practices within the public sector and approaches to enhance financial performance in line with global standards.
