The launch ceremony, attended by Professor Dr. Ali Hilal Al Naqbi, Chancellor of the University of Khorfakkan, alongside his deputies, college deans, department directors, staff members, and students, marked the beginning of this exciting endeavor.
Dr. Jumaa Abdul Jawad Ali, a member of the university’s innovation team, explained that this competition is part of the university's commitment to fostering creative thinking and new ideas. Participants are encouraged to complete an electronic form detailing their business concepts and their feasibility. These submissions will be reviewed and analyzed by experts in entrepreneurship and innovation, leading to the final rounds of competition at the end of February.
He went on to highlight that the university offers valuable prizes for the top winners, as well as support for standout ideas to help transform them into viable commercial projects, complete with the necessary training and mentorship.
In an interview with "Sharjah 24," he emphasized that through this competition, the University of Khorfakkan aims to unearth innovative ideas that could spark meaningful change in the realm of business and entrepreneurship, ultimately contributing to sustainable development within both the local and global communities.
