Sharjah International Cycling Tour will run for a distance of 526.26 km distributed over five stages. On the occasion of the major event, which enjoys the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, reaching its first decade, a new cup was unveiled for the winner at the conference, which was admired by the attendees. It was also announced that two local races would be organised on the sidelines of the tour as part of the third round for the disabled and youth.
The conference was attended by a large crowd headed by His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC); His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani, Vice Chairman of SSC and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Tour; and His Excellency Brigadier Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of Central Operations at Sharjah Police. From SSC Board of Directors, His Excellency Abdul Latif Al Fardan; His Excellency Abdullah Al Dah; His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Hammadi; His Excellency Engineer Adel Saleh Al Hammadi; in addition to His Excellency Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khorfakkan Club; His Excellency Mohammed Al Qubaisi, Vice Chairman of the UAE Cycling Federation; Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Sports Channel; Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of the Tour; Salem Al Shehhi, Financial Director of the Arab Cycling Federation; Mohammed Al Hosani, representative of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq); Hamed Al Qaed, representative of Sharjah Municipality; Mohammed Al Khayal, representative of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Hamad Salem Al Mahmoud, representative of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Salem Al Midfa, representative of Sharjah Asset Management; and Farid Jamal, representative of Ajmal Makan Real Estate Development; in addition to a number of representatives of the sponsoring and supporting bodies and institutions, members of the sub-committees of the Organising Committee, and UAE media representatives.
