Dr. Ibrahim's research was titled "Post-heritage in the theatrical project of Ismail Abdullah, recycling heritage, substitutions and their faults." She noted that Abdullah's texts met all the conditions, including an abundance of material, adherence to writing standards, and a diverse range of writing styles, spanning both drama and scenic works.
Ibrahim emphasised to “Sharjah 24” the significant heritage potential within Ismail Abdullah's works, which he presents with great awareness. She explained that Abdullah's project aims to recycle Arab, Islamic, and Gulf heritage, bringing it to life for the future rather than leaving it as a relic of the past.
Dr. Ibrahim presented a summary of her research at a press conference on Sunday, as part of the 15th edition of the Arab Theater Festival in Muscat, Oman. She also acknowledged the second and third place winners: Al-Hussein Al-Rahawi, whose research explored "Thinking theatrically, the possibilities of transcendence and its horizons, from heritage to beyond," and Hossam Mohi El-Din, who addressed the dialectic of the theoretical and the transformative in post-heritage theater.
