On 4 January, the anniversary of his accession as Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed traditionally launches a national initiative. This year, he dedicates the day to Sheikha Hind, calling her his life partner and greatest support.
Sheikh Mohammed praised Sheikha Hind as a devoted friend and companion, embodying compassion and generosity. He emphasized the importance of showing gratitude to life partners and steadfast supporters, quoting the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
Sheikha Hind has exemplified giving and loyalty through her humanitarian efforts, nurturing values of patriotism and generosity in her children. She has advanced initiatives to secure a better future for youth and a dignified life for all.
In January 2024, Sheikha Hind launched the Dubai Weddings programme, which assisted 344 weddings in its first year. She also sponsors mass weddings and promotes family stability.
Sheikha Hind has received numerous awards for her humanitarian work, including the Arab First Lady Award, the Golden Humanitarian Personality award, and the Arab Woman Award for Humanitarian Action. She was named Islamic Personality of the Year in 2024.
Sheikha Hind has spearheaded the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Holy Quran Competition and supported the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. She played key roles in the ‘10 Million Meals’ and ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaigns, and the UAE Food Bank.
Sheikha Hind is also dedicated to advancing women’s participation in sports, sponsoring the Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament to promote active lifestyles.
