Al Nuaimi pointed out that the Council places at the forefront of its priorities listening to the voices of citizens, with a focus on the challenges they face and ways to meet them through fruitful partnership with government agencies.
This came during the meeting of SCC Higher Management Committee within the second regular session of the eleventh legislative term at the Council’s headquarters in Sharjah.
The meeting discussed pivotal topics related to continuing to enhance business and develop the services provided to them, while seeking to activate the roles of the committees in the Council with the aim of reaching the best possible solutions to societal challenges.
Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the cooperative approach adopted by government departments and bodies in the Emirate of Sharjah, commending their keenness to cooperate with the Council to provide effective responses and continuous follow-up on the issues raised, whether by Council members or the public.
Al Nuaimi stressed that this interaction reflects the comprehensive vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which calls for strengthening family and social stability and improving public services to serve the aspirations of citizens and residents alike.
The meeting, which was held, on Tuesday, at the Council’s headquarters, was attended by Halima Hamid Al Owais, Vice-President of the Council; Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi, Chairperson of the Education, Youth, Culture and Media Affairs Committee; Eng. Jamila Al Fandi Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security Affairs and Public Facilities Committee; Saeed Matar bin Hamed Al Tunaiji, Chairperson of the Family Affairs Committee; Rashid Abdullah bin Huwaiden, Chairperson of the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee; and Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Council and Rapporteur of the Bureau.
The meeting was also attended from the Council’s General Secretariat by Legal Advisor Youssef Hassan Al Ali and Abdulaziz bin Khadem, Deputy Director of the Parliamentary Affairs Department.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the issues that will be raised in the current session during 2025, including topics of interest to citizens and society, with a focus on enhancing joint work to develop the service system in the emirate.
They also reviewed the issues and proposals raised by citizens, stressing the importance of continuing to adopt effective mechanisms to make the required difference, in addition to continuing SCC efforts to enhance the approach of transparency and interest in all community issues, with a commitment to achieving the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in building a prosperous society based on integration between various governmental and community entities.
