Sharjah 24: Sharjah Capability Development “Tatweer”, affiliated with Rubu Qarn Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, organised, on December 14, a new literary session as part of the “Ruwaq” programme, under the title “Warm Pages”.

The session attracted reading and literature enthusiasts to exchange ideas about books suitable for winter weather and the impact of seasons on readers’ choices.

During the session, participants discussed a wide range of books suitable for winter weather, with discussions focusing on novels with a warm human character, such as stories that reflect family relationships and deep friendships. Some participants indicated that classical literature, thanks to its rich language and cohesive plots, is an ideal choice for winter.

There were also references to adventure books that add an atmosphere of excitement and vitality that help readers break the monotony of cold days.

In addition, the discussion addressed the importance of choosing books that inspire the reader and provide them with space for personal reflection. Some participants shared their experience with unconventional books, such as memoirs and autobiographies, that ignite feelings of warmth and deepen their understanding of life.

The session was not limited to exchanging ideas, but also encouraged participants to explore new literary genres and broaden their reading horizons.

The session saw the exchange of literary nominations between participants, which added an interactive dimension that enriched the discussions and opened the way for discovering new books. The session concluded by emphasising the importance of reading in enhancing cultural communication and exploring new literary styles.

Since its inception in 2005, Sharjah Capability Development Foundation (Tatweer), affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, aims to attract and empower young leaders to advance the Emirate of Sharjah. The Foundation’s programmes also play a major role in developing the skills of passionate and ambitious youth within the age group of 18 years and above; thus supporting the vision of the United Arab Emirates, which believes in the efforts of youth through which nations are built.
