The step is part of the council's plans to benefit from foreign expertise in transferring experience to club members.
The German expert has extensive experience in the game as a coach in the German Shooting and Archery Federation and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), and a head coach in the joint training programme for World Archery in Asia (WAA). He has trained in the German archery team.
The camp workshops are attended by coaches and players from seven clubs: Sharjah, Khorfakkan, Al Hamriyah, Al Bataeh, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam and Maliha.
Lectures are held during the morning and evening periods and aim to raise the level of expertise of members and the efficiency of capabilities through lectures and practical training in the clubs’ stadiums.
Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, Director of the Sports Affairs and Development Department, said that the Council outsourced the German expert to give lectures as the Council is keen to provide the opportunity for coaches and players in clubs to interact with foreign expertise, especially given the German expert’s expertise and distinguished biography. Al Hossan added that his participation will contribute to the members obtaining great technical benefit and achieving the desired goals of the camp.
