Sharjah24: Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, extended his heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous initiative to establish a lagoon for marine sports in the city of Kalba. He highlighted that this development will be a significant and unique enhancement that will greatly transform the landscape of marine sports in this jewel of the eastern coast, which now boasts excellent infrastructure and outstanding sports facilities.
The new lagoon to be developed is expected to improve the Kalba waterfront and facilitate the organization of various events, including championships for activities such as jet skiing and speedboating. This initiative aims to support the aspirations of athletes in Sharjah by providing resources for practicing and excelling in their hobbies.

Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. He emphasized that the lagoon will serve as a new hub for sports on the eastern coast, significantly boosting tourism in Kalba. Marine sports have a dedicated following and attract young enthusiasts from around the globe.
