Sharjah 24 – WAM: Al Ain Municipality broke a Guinness World Record during the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations by launching the longest fireworks display on December 2. Spanning 11.1 kilometres with 51 platforms, it surpassed the previous record of 7.8 kilometres.
Rashid Musabah Al Mannai, Director General of Al Ain Municipality, received the certificate from Guinness World Records representatives at a ceremony attended by officials.
Maitha Ali Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Events Department, highlighted the municipality's careful planning and coordination with the Guinness team to achieve this milestone. The celebration drew around 30,000 visitors over two days, featuring fireworks, drones, folk arts, light shows, and more, with the main event held at Hili Amusement Park.
This achievement marks Al Ain Municipality’s second Guinness World Record of the year, following the "Largest Bouquet of Flowers" title in February.
