Sharjah24: During the national event "Waqfat Walaa” Parade (A Stand of Loyalty), which marks the 10th anniversary of National Service, mothers, wives, and sisters of recruits shared their pride and admiration. Held today, Monday, in Abu Dhabi, the event highlighted the recruits' role as the backbone and protectors of the UAE.
The families expressed their happiness in observing the recruits' commitment in this remarkable event, showcasing the principles of loyalty and patriotism fostered through National Service.
Umm Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al Suraydi conveyed her deep pride in her son's participation, describing it as the most remarkable and important event in the UAE. She highlighted that it is the responsibility of every citizen to serve and contribute to their homeland.
Aousha Obaid Salem Al Ketbi expressed her feelings, noting that mothers take pride and feel honoured when their sons take part in "Waqfat Walaa”. She emphasised that the recruits serve as the guardians of the nation and carry its name with pride.
Laila Al Hosani described "Waqfat Walaa”as a significant moment for all Emirati women, who experience deep admiration as they witness the National Service recruits showcase an impressive and dignified performance on the field. She highlighted that the event coincides with the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 2.
