Running from June 17 to 21 at the China National Convention Center, the prominent event will serve as a major platform for the UAE to showcase its creative industries, rich heritage, and expanding leadership in culture and technology, while deeply strengthening its bilateral ties with China.
The comprehensive cultural showcase was officially announced during synchronized press conferences held in Beijing and Dubai, co-organized by the Beijing International Book Fair Authority, the UAE Embassy in China, and the UAE Ministry of Culture.
At the heart of the country's presentation is the "UAE House," an immersive, state-of-the-art pavilion engineered to reflect the nation's core values of diversity, innovation, and global openness. The pavilion will unite 29 leading government, cultural, academic, and creative institutions under one roof. Together, they will present the UAE’s latest breakthroughs in publishing, translation, and content creation alongside exhibitions that celebrate both traditional Emirati heritage and future-focused technological concepts.
Beyond institutional achievements, the pavilion is designed to offer international visitors an authentic look into the UAE’s unique multicultural identity. It will spotlight a vibrant, modern society where more than 200 nationalities coexist harmoniously under the foundational values of tolerance and cultural exchange.
The five-day fair will feature a robust agenda of more than 20 panel discussions, literary forums, and interactive cultural events. These sessions will explore highly relevant contemporary themes, including the historical evolution of UAE-China relations, intellectual property and publishing standards, children’s literature, travel writing, translation methodologies, digital publishing, and cultural sustainability. A particular point of focus will be dedicated to analyzing the accelerating role of artificial intelligence within the creative and literary sectors.
To visually honor the deep friendship between the two nations, a dedicated UAE-China archival exhibition will be on display, meticulously tracing the milestone moments of their shared cultural, economic, and humanitarian journeys.
The "UAE House" will also come alive with live Arabic calligraphy demonstrations, fine visual arts displays, and exclusive book signings by celebrated Emirati authors. On the business and academic front, a series of high-level professional matchmaking meetings will take place between Emirati and Chinese cultural institutions, aimed at expanding long-term translation rights, co-publishing agreements, and cross-border knowledge exchange.
According to organizing officials, the UAE's selection as Guest of Honour underscores the growing international recognition of its grand cultural project, firmly reinforcing the country's position as a premier global hub for creativity, innovation, and international dialogue.
