Sharjah24: Abu Bakr Jilani Sheikh, Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Endowments of the Federal Republic of Somalia, commended the Sharjah Quran Academy for its innovative contributions guided by the vision of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The minister emphasised the academy's role in promoting the Quran and its sciences by showcasing a model that reflects its rich cultural and intellectual heritage.
Ibrahim Adam Ibrahim, the Director General of the Ministry, accompanied him during his visit to the academy. Dr Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, the Secretary-General of the Academy, welcomed him along with several department heads.
Dr Al Hosani elaborated on the academy's initiatives, which include a global electronic Quran recitation platform, research, Quranic studies, Quranic museums, and specialized conferences focused on Quranic interpretation and rhetoric.
The minister additionally examined rare Quranic manuscripts, displays detailing the history of the Quran’s writing, and a temporary exhibition featuring the works of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Saadi.
The Somali minister praised the academy’s significant contributions and its creative methodology, describing it as a symbol of Quranic cultural heritage.
He conveyed his appreciation for the warm welcome and acknowledged the important role of Sharjah's leadership in promoting humanity and safeguarding cultural tradition.
