Sharjah 24: Sharjah Children, affiliated with the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, organised the World Children's Day event for children aged 6-12 years, at the Children's Centre in Al Qarayen.
The event was an effort to promote the values of compassion and brotherhood among children, and included a number of creative and interactive workshops that aimed to bring children closer to different cultures.
The event started with an introductory session that gave children the opportunity to communicate and discover commonalities between them in human customs and values.
Among the most prominent activities was the "Universal Key" workshop, where children excelled in decorating medals in innovative ways; and the "Face Mural" workshop, through which they explored the features of the peoples of the world by drawing them in an expressive way.
The event also included the "Memories Traveling the World" workshop, in which children documented their friendships with commemorative photos decorated with colourful shapes.
The event concluded with the "Landmarks of the World" workshop, in which children drew landmarks of their countries' heritage that carry historical or cultural meanings.
It is worth noting that the event aimed to instill good human values in the souls of children; strengthen social ties between them; encourage them to be creative and express themselves; and open new horizons to understand the diverse cultures around them.
