Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Human Resources Department (SHRD) held its third dialogue session titled "Corporate Functional Culture" at the University of Sharjah’s College of Fine Arts. The session is part of the ongoing “Visions towards Sustainable Leadership” series, which focuses on promoting awareness of improving work environments and fostering positivity within them.
The session, attended by His Excellency Majid Hamad Al Marri, Director of the Sharjah Human Resources Department, along with officials and employees from Sharjah’s government entities, featured Dr. Noura Al Qaseer, a human development consultant. Dr. Al Qaseer shared insights on enhancing institutional work environments, with a focus on strategies to boost job happiness, productivity, and organizational commitment.
Key topics discussed included the importance of creating positive work environments and offering employee support services. The session also highlighted the value of effective communication between leaders and employees, as well as discovering and empowering talents within institutions to ensure sustainable success and future leadership. The culture of gratitude and appreciation, which encourages continuous achievements and constructive competition, was also addressed. Additionally, the session explored the vital role of work-life balance in supporting mental health and well-being, along with strategies for fostering sustainable institutional happiness aligned with business goals. The final discussions focused on creating innovative environments that proactively enhance happiness and improve the overall quality of life.
His Excellency Majid Hamad Al Marri emphasised that the success of institutions today depends on their ability to build a positive corporate culture. He noted that achieving a balance between professional and personal life, while supporting corporate sustainability, is essential. He also shared that the department aims to present strategies for developing business environments that foster innovation, enhance efficiency, and adapt to global changes.
