Sharjah 24: Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Hamid Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, presided over the club's board meeting today to deliberate on the strategic and development plans for the upcoming phase.
In the meeting, the chairman expressed gratitude to all members for their contributions over the past period, as well as his appreciation for the team and volunteers who assisted in hosting and organizing the Arab Chess Championship in the Emirate of Sharjah from November 6 to 15.
The meeting addressed several important aspects focused on advancing chess in the Emirate, endorsing programs and initiatives that aim to elevate the skill level of players both locally and on the international stage.
The review encompassed the club’s significant accomplishments during the recent period and deliberated enhancing the function of permanent committees in the upcoming phase to refine all administrative processes and fulfil the club’s strategic goals.
Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Hamid al-Qasimi emphasized the importance of working with sports, educational, and cultural organizations to promote chess in the community and provide crucial assistance for enhancing player performance and preparing them for international competitions.
Board members conveyed their dedication to executing all agreed-upon recommendations to strengthen the club's status as a premier chess club in the region.
