Sharjah24: Denmark secured their place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League after imposing a scoreless draw against Serbia in the last round of Group 4 matches.
In another match in the group, Spain defeated Switzerland 3-2.
The Spanish team, known as La Roja, clinched their spot in the quarter-finals with a top position in the group, accumulating 16 points. Denmark followed them into the knockout stages, finishing second with eight points, two points ahead of Serbia, while Switzerland ended up at the bottom of the standings with two points.
At La Cartuja Stadium, Yeremy Pino opened the scoring for Spain in the 32nd minute, but Joel Monteiro equalized for Switzerland in the 63rd minute.
Bryan Gil Salvatierra scored the second goal for Spain in the 68th minute, but Andy Zeqiri equalized for Switzerland with a penalty in the 85th minute. In the closing seconds, Bryan Zaragoza emerged as the hero, scoring the winning goal for Spain from another penalty.
