Sharjah24: The Croatian national team drew with their Portuguese counterparts 1-1 in the sixth round of the UEFA Nations League group stage.
Croatia secured their place in the quarter-finals of the tournament, raising their points total to 8 in second place, qualifying alongside the leading Portugal team, which has 14 points.
Portugal took the lead through João Félix in the 33rd minute, while Josko Gvardiol equalized for Croatia in the 64th minute.
In another match in the same round, Scotland failed to clinch a spot in the next round despite defeating Poland 2-1.
Scotland increased their points to 7, placing them third, just one point behind Croatia, while Poland remained at 4 points in fourth and last place, relegating them to the second tier. Scotland will now play matches to avoid relegation to the second tier.
Scotland took the lead through John McGinn in the third minute, before Kamil Piątkowski equalized for Poland in the 59th minute.
In the third minute of stoppage time in the second half, Andrew Robertson scored the second goal for the Scottish team.
