Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed modifications to low and medium voltage electrical networks at over 133 locations, totaling more than 37 kilometers of electrical cables during the third quarter of 2024. This achievement is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of its services, improve operational efficiency, and meet customer needs in the best possible manner while raising the efficiency of the low and medium voltage networks.
This milestone aligns with the authority's strategic plan aimed at improving the infrastructure of electricity networks in Sharjah, enhancing their efficiency and reliability, and addressing the increasing demand for electrical energy resulting from the continuous growth in the emirate. These efforts aim to ensure the continuity of services provided to customers.
Dr. Engineer Hassan Al-Zarouni, Director of the Electricity Distribution Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority, stated that the authority places great importance on developing networks and continuing comprehensive development across all areas. This is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide high-quality infrastructure and improve the efficiency of electricity distribution networks to meet the evolving needs for electrical energy and achieve sustainable development.
He noted that network modification projects have been implemented in accordance with the authority's objectives to enhance and develop the electrical network to meet customer needs and ensure safe and reliable services for the community. This project represents a significant achievement in raising the efficiency of the electrical network, improving performance levels, and ensuring the stability and continuity of electricity supply according to quality standards.
