SDHR unveils process for issuing 'Waffar' card

The workshop aimed to explain the new updates to the Waffar program's electronic application and its features, as well as the process for issuing it.

Officials from all departments within the Sharjah government were invited to explain how to activate the electronic card for their employees and to clarify the new updates to the application, which allows beneficiaries to view the discounts and offers available, as well as to learn about new companies that have joined the program.

Jawaher Saif Al Oud, Director of the Events and Activities Office and Program Manager for Waffar, stated: "The Waffar discount program has enhanced its mobile application features by adding the electronic card option, which allows beneficiaries to access the card and its benefits through their smartphones."

She pointed out that with the new update, beneficiaries no longer need to carry the physical Waffar card; they can download the application and enjoy all its benefits and discounts while still having the option to use the physical card if they wish.

Additionally, she noted that this step enhances service efficiency and contributes to increased customer satisfaction. She explained that this update is an important step in providing government services and reflects the Waffar program's commitment to facilitating services and enhancing the ability to benefit from exclusive discounts and offers across various sectors. The update aims to provide a more flexible experience that keeps pace with modern technological advancements that the government seeks to implement in all sectors.

She also mentioned that this digital transformation is part of the ambitious vision of the Emirate of Sharjah to use technology to provide innovative and easy services to the community.
