Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA), chaired the Academy's Board of Trustees meeting this Thursday morning, held at the Academy's building in the University City of Sharjah.
At the start of the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah welcomed the members of the Board of Trustees, highlighting the importance of their efforts in developing the Academy's level across all areas.

The meeting discussed the expansion of the Board of Trustees by adding a number of academic scholars and experts with both scientific and practical experience in the fields offered by the Academy, which will contribute to enhancing the Board's work. The Board also reviewed the Academy's plans for graduating students in the upcoming year, 2025, alongside discussions on the various courses in all the programmes offered by the Academy. They also addressed the proposed postgraduate studies and the importance of focusing on education quality and its impact on graduating highly skilled professionals in all the specialised academic programmes the Academy provides. Furthermore, the meeting discussed several topics related to the Academy's Music College, the completion of faculty and administrative staff appointments, and the academic system, aiming to meet the highest global standards in providing the best educational opportunities.

Upon his arrival, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah toured the Academy's library, where he was briefed on the various references available in the fields of humanities, arts, theatre, and other subjects, in addition to a copy of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language.

The meeting was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Sharjah Art Foundation and Vice President of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Habib Ghuloom Al Attar, Secretary-General of the Theatre Association, Dr. Nadia Al Hassani, Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Sharjah, Ismail Abdullah Ismail, Secretary-General of the Arab Theatre Authority, Dr. Yusuf Abdullah Eidabi, Cultural Advisor at Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi's office, Qassem Istambouli, Founder of the Lebanese National Theatre (via videoconference), and Dr. Peter Barlow, Executive Director of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy.
