Sharjah24: With a fusion of lively songs, interactive riddles, and captivating light displays, the Kuwaiti theatre troupe ALJ Sisters dazzled young audiences and families at the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2024) with their engaging play, Traino. This unique theatrical experience follows three spirited girls on a magical train journey through multiple countries, promoting cultural harmony and coexistence through each stop along the way.
The outdoor theatre at Expo Centre Sharjah was packed with young attendees, who eagerly engaged with the show’s immersive elements, from musical performances to exciting puzzles. Traino kicked off with a dynamic video introduction, setting the stage for a journey that wove together song-led scenes and thrilling interactions, drawing children into the story with each new country they “visited.”

Traino’s immersive set design, enhanced by 3D backdrops and sound effects, transported the audience onto the train itself, fostering a sense of realism and adventure. The play’s soundscapes, intricate lighting, and visual storytelling elevated the theatrical experience, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats and fully engaged.

More than just entertainment, Traino is a celebration of diversity, cultural exchange, and dialogue. Starring Aljoud, Aljoury Albaanon, and Wadha Alayoub, collectively known as the “ALJ Sisters,” the production aims to inspire young audiences to embrace and respect diverse cultures.
