Sharjah24: The Al Hamriyah swimming team won 13 colorful medals (2 gold, 3 silver, 8 bronze) at the UAE Cup (10-11 years, general category), held on November 9 and 10 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, respectively.
The two gold medals were achieved by Youssef Ahmed (50m backstroke) and Omar Izzat (50m butterfly). The three silver medals were won by Youssef Ahmed (100m backstroke) and Youssef Khadr, who earned two medals (50m and 100m breaststroke).
As for the bronze medals, they were won by Hamad Al Shehi (50m and 100m freestyle), Majid Al Blooshi (50m breaststroke and 4x100m freestyle relay), and Omar Izzat (100m butterfly and 4x100m freestyle relay). Additionally, one medal each went to Mohammed Al Jasmi and Jabir Al Abduli (4x100m freestyle relay).
Salem Al Khayal, a board member of Al Hamriyah Club and head of the Individual Sports and Talented Athletes Committee, praised the swimmers, commending the efforts of the entire team.
