Sharjah24: The Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club honoured the club’s modern rowing team on Tuesday, in the presence of His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board, and board members, in recognition of their outstanding performances at the Asian Beach Rowing Championships in Thailand and the Tunisia Olympic Classic Rowing Championship.

The honourees rowers were  Ahmed Khamis Al Hammadi, Mohammed Salfan Saif, Mohammed Salem Al Hosani, Abdullah Al Hosani, and Salem Al Mansoori, in addition to the team’s coach, Captain Sayed Ali Wadih. The honourees included Ahmed Khamis Al Hammadi, Mohammed Salfan Saif, Mohammed Salem Al Hosani, Abdullah Al Hosani, and Salem Al Mansoori, along with the team’s coach, Captain Sayed Ali Wadih, who won gold, silver and bronze medals across the two championships.

Recognition of excellence and continued success

His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi affirmed that the honouring event comes in recognition of the effort of the players and the technical and administrative staff with both the club and the UAE national team which have led to positive results, enhanced the club’s reputation, and raised the UAE flag at international events. He also commended the support provided to the athletes by the UAE Sailing and Modern Rowing Federation and the Sharjah Sports Council.
