UAE names 27-player squad for World Cup Qualifiers

Sharjah 24: The UAE national football team, under coach Paulo Bento, has named a 27-player squad for their upcoming 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan and Qatar. The team will play Kyrgyzstan on November 14 and Qatar on November 19.

The squad includes goalkeepers Khaled Issa, Hamad Al-Muqbali, Ali Khaseif, and Adly Mohammed.

In defence, the team will rely on Mohammed Al-Attas, Khaled Al-Hashemi, Kwame Kwadoo, Khalifa Al-Hammadi, Zayed Sultan, Khaled Al-Dhanhani, Fares Khalil, and Abdullah Idris.

The midfield lineup consists of Majid Rashid, Yahya Nader, Mackenzie Hunt, Mohammed Abbas, Tahnoon Al Zaabi, Issam Fayez, Marcus Meloni, Yahya Al Ghassani, Hareb Abdullah, Ali Saleh, Fábio Lima, and Fahd Badr.

Up front consists of Bruno Oliveira, Junior Niday, and Caio Canedo will lead the attack.

The matches are crucial for the UAE's World Cup qualification campaign.
