Sharjah 24: Nujoom Alghanem, Emirati poet, artist, scriptwriter and multi-award-winning film director, highlighted that the Shurooq Youth Council's dialogue session focused on the vital role of publishing in supporting the cultural and artistic landscape.
The session, part of the 43rd Sharjah International Book Fair, also addressed the challenges publishers face, especially with the growing shift toward digital publications in response to evolving reader needs.
Al-Ghanem emphasised to Sharjah 24 that the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has played a pivotal role over the past four decades in shaping the cultural, artistic, and literary consciousness of both the public and writers. She described the fair as a "home" for writers and intellectuals, where they gather each year to enrich their understanding of poetry, philosophy, and literature, contributing to the development of personal and collective creativity.
